Ceiling Damaged After Heavy Rains
When a roof is exposed to the elements, especially heavy rains in South Florida, its integrity is compromised. A damaged roof can lead to water damaged ceilings caused by rainwater pooling. Signs, aside from a collapsed ceiling, include bubbling, brown stains or leaks. Ceilings can also experience damage from broken seals or valves on water lines or plumbing. Routine inspection and replacement if necessary, is key to preventing ceiling damage. Replacing shingles and patching holes on a roof especially before storm or hurricane season is recommended. Repairing leaky plumbing will also mitigate ceiling damage. Identifying and addressing the issue early on will eliminate the need for restoration.
